Tony Lewis finalist of BBC1's The One and Only, and long term friend of Ocean Village has been performing on the ship since Ocean Village launched back in 2004.
We took some time out of his busy schedule to ask him a few questions...
Q. Why do you love performing on Ocean Village?
A. Ocean Village is something that's always been really special to me. It's market is unique and it's always amazing onboard. I did the first ever voyage and Ocean Village has stood by me. No matter where you perform in the world the marquee is always guaranteed to be a special night.
Q. How many times have you performed on board?
A. I've honestly lost count of how many times I've performed on Ocean Village but I think that because my show is so off the cuff, you'll never see the same performance twice!
Q. What's your favourite thing about Ocean Village?
A. It's the fact that people will come over and comment on the show, sit down and have a beer. It's great because three hours later we're still at the bar chatting about football and life in general as if I was at home with one of my mates! There's no Captain's Table or priority system, everyone is on the same level, including me.
Q. What's your favourite Ocean Village destination?
A. I loved Mayreau and Aruba. However current favourites have got to be St Maarten and Barbados. The Caribbean is the most beautiful place in the world! Until you see just how blue the water is and how white the beaches are it's hard to explain. Closer to home though I think Barcelona is a great city with so many different aspects to it.
Q. When can we see you back on board?
A. I'm on Ocean Village Two in Barbados on 20th Feb and again on the 19th of March. You'll definitely see me onboard then. If I'm not onstage then I'll be either in Players, La Luna (my favourite restaurant in the world) or the Splash Bar!
Q. What do you never travel without?
A. I'm a bit of a gadget geek so I love my PSP and laptop. But of course as a professional I never travel without my sheet music or minidiscs!
