(They were designed to fool pirates so prepare to get lost!) Cruise the hip music bars and cool designer shops – think Dolce & Gabbana not Greek peasant chic. Ready to hit the beach? Take your place among the latter-day sun-gods stretched out on the loungers. When you’ve worked up a thirst, head to one of the waterfront bars where you can sip in the sun while the Aegean Sea laps at your feet.

Little Venice – You want picturesque? Take a look at Little Venice. See tall Venetianhouses- turned-bars with colourful balconies overhanging the sea, bougainvillea-covered churches butting up to funky boutiques and views of the famous windmills.
Tria Pigadhia – In search of a husband? According to legend if you drink from the Three Wells you’ll find yourself your man. It might not taste like Evian but if you get lucky do you care?
Panagia Paraportiani – This is Mykonos’ most famous church and it’s not hard to see why. Made up of four small churches all lumped together, it’s a fabulous photo call.
Delos – Take a boat trip to the sacred island awash with ruined temples and shrines. Stroll towards the sacred lake under the gaze of five marble lions or visit the ancient Temple of Dionysus, where two large stone phalluses stand proud atop their columns.
