Barbados

Don’t be fooled by the ‘Little England’ tag – the calypso rhythms and stunning beaches in Barbados are most definitely Caribbean…

It may have British place names and a passion for cricket, but with endless sunshine, white sandy beaches, hot beats and even hotter pepper sauce Barbados has all the ingredients for a full-on Caribbean experience. It’s the perfect place to swing in a hammock, limber up for some limbo or relax with a rum punch.

Don’t Miss

Bridgetown  – Wander past the boats moored along The Careenage or go shopping and pick up some local rum.
Cricket fan? Then head for Kensington Oval – or for history and art (and horse racing) stop-off at the historic Garrison.
Gun Hill – Check out the panoramic view from this watchtower, built in 1818 as part of a chain of signal stations.
Flower Forest – Opened in 1983, this 50 acre landscaped garden is packed with a dazzling range of tropical blooms.
